The USA is putting pressure on #Romanian authorities to bypass both the judiciary and free elections in order bend over backwards for Trump and his fascists.

They want the Tate brothers to be able to leave #Romania - even though they are accused of human trafficking and money laundering. This is the administration that also "protects" women by slashing funding for research that focuses on women - an effect of the "banned DEI terms".

Well, this #Romanian #election is sadly a nightmare. An anti-LGBT, anti-EU, anti-NATO, pro-Putin, Ukraine-negationist is leading the election results. There’s less than 800 votes difference (0.004%) between second and third place at the time of writing.

Could this be the case where the #Netherlands stubbornly refusing to allow Romania to enter Schengen for over a decade has now pushed them to the other side?
